Fasten your hiking boots and head up the mountain. You can head straight out into the mountains from Fontis in the middle of a gentle hiking area between the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites and the Rieserferner Group. This is a recreational area comprising 109 km² with lots of hiking options from 1,400 to 2,900 metres above sea level.

Whether you’re a pro cyclist or a hobbyist, whether you cycle alone or with the vital coaches, all areas of the Gsies Valley are perfect for exploring on your bike or mountain bike. You can hire bikes and electric bikes from us. The Gsies Valley mountain bike school also offers private bike guides and technical training. 

We set off on electric bikes until we are high up in the Gsies mountains. This saves your strength for when you are actually heading up to the peak on foot. It is also the perfect way to be able to enjoy the culinary delights and dreamy views at the mountain lodges without wearing yourself out. An adventurous journey back to the Fontis awaits you at the end.

With the Drei Zinnen in the south and the Dreitausender in Rieserferner-Ahrn nature park in the north, the terrain in the Dolomites is very versatile for climbers and extremely beautiful.

Situated in the beautiful Pustertal Valley, Kronplatz is considered by many to be the number one wintersports resort in South Tyrol and is also a popular summer destination for families, hikers, cyclists and all those who enjoy culture and relaxation in beautiful surroundings.
Both the Messner Mountain Museum Corones and the LUMEN Museum are located at the summit of Kronplatz at 2,275 meters above sea level. While in the MMM Corones exhibits tell of important mountaineering legends, in the LUMEN Museum mountain photography has found its home.

Pragser Wildsee Lake is situated in the middle of Fanes-Senes-Braies (Fannes-Sennes-Prags) Nature Park. Nestled into a wild and romantic rocky valley basin and dominated by the majestic Croda del Becco (Seekofel) Peak, this is the most beautiful lake in the Dolomites.
