If you have the luxury of choice...
You don’t need to go very far. Just three kilometres away, there is a small, sunny mountain lift with its own ski school in St. Magdalena. And the Kronplatz, the number 1 skiing mountain in South Tyrol, is not far away. The gently sloping panoramic winter mountain is one of the top winter sports destinations in the Dolomites and Alps with its wide, almost treeless slopes, 120 km of pistes and 32 state-of-the-art lift facilities. The hotel bus from the Nature Spa Resort Quelle heads to the Kronplatz (20 km away) every day (except Sundays).
If you would prefer to explore the Drei Zinnen ski area on your activity holiday in the Dolomites, you can travel on the bus to Welsberg train station. From there, the Ski-Pustertal-Express will take you to the Helm valley station in Vierschach at 30-minute intervals. The Drei Zinnen ski region is an insider’s secret: not too overcrowded and located in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, visitors love it thanks to its excellent views, guaranteed snow and very well maintained 93 kilometres of pistes for pro skiers and hobbyists.
